Reach One Cards
One person… Reaching one person… It really can be that simple!
1 → 1
There is a lot of noise in the world.
A lot of hurry. A lot of worry. And sometimes, a lot of loneliness.
We probably can't fix all of that. But we can reach one person.
We can encourage one friend. Remember one neighbor. Celebrate one birthday. Thank one teacher. Cheer up one grandchild. Tell someone we're proud of them. Remind someone that they matter.
Sometimes all it takes is a few handwritten words:
I was thinking about you.
You did good.
I'm proud of you.
Happy Birthday!
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm praying for you.
Or maybe simply:
This made me think of you.
That's the idea behind Reach One Cards.
1 → 1
That little symbol says a lot about what we believe at Reach One Media.
One person reaching another person.
Not a crowd… Not an audience... not a demographic.
One human reaching another with love, encouragement, hope, humor, gratitude or celebration.
And then perhaps that person reaches another.
1 → 1
That's how encouragement travels.
That's how kindness travels.
And maybe that's one small way we can change the world.
One person at a time.
We Create the Art. You Make It Personal.
Reach One Cards begin with original artwork created by Opa and Reach One Media.
Sometimes it may be one of our colorful Saltwater Color™ paintings—a little church, an old barn, a fishing boat, a familiar street or some other beautiful place that brings back a memory.
Sometimes it may be a cartoon that makes somebody laugh.
Sometimes a caricature.
Sometimes something thoughtful, whimsical or wonderfully difficult to categorize—which, around here, happens fairly often.
The artwork is meant to do something very simple:
Catch your eye... touch your heart... and make you think of someone.
That's where our part ends.
And yours begins.
Now Make It Personal.
Turn a Reach One Card over and you won't find somebody else's poem or a paragraph written by a greeting-card company trying to say what you're feeling.
You'll find space! Space for you… because we don't know what you need to say to your daughter…
Or to your old Army buddy…
Or your neighbor…
Or your pastor.… Or the friend you haven't talked to in three years.
You do.—only you know what to say. You’re the one who actually knows them!
So we create the artwork on the front. Then we hand the back of the card over to you.
Write a sentence... write a page... tell a story… tell a joke... share a memory... say thank you... say congratulations... say I'm sorry... say I miss you... say I'm proud of you... say I love you.
Or just write: “Saw this and thought of you.”
Sometimes that's enough.
A Card Doesn't Need an Occasion
Of course we'll have cards for birthdays, celebrations, holidays and those wonderful milestones worth remembering.
But some of our favorite Reach One Cards may have no occasion at all.
Because Tuesday is an occasion.
So is I haven't heard from you lately.
So is you've been on my mind.
So is you looked like you could use a little encouragement.
You shouldn't need a date on the calendar to remind somebody that they matter.
That's why Reach One Cards are designed to be affordable little pieces of art you can keep nearby, tuck into an envelope and send whenever somebody comes to mind.
No grand production required.
Just: See a card. Think of someone. Reach One.
Reach the World—One Person at a Time
Reach One Cards are part of a much bigger idea here at Reach One Media.
We believe media can do more than entertain us.
Art can encourage.
Humor can heal a difficult day.
Beauty can make us stop for a moment.
Stories can connect us.
And a few sincere words from one person to another can sometimes accomplish more than we realize.
We don't have to reach everybody. Maybe today we just reach one.
One person who needs encouragement.
One person worth celebrating.
One person who could use a laugh.
One person who ought to know somebody remembers.
One person who needs to hear:
You matter to me.
That's the mission.
That's the reason for the cards.
And that's what our little symbol means:

1 → 1
Reach One.
With love. With encouragement. With hope. With joy.
Reach the world... one person at a time.
